How to Make Charcoal from Coffee Husk?

01Pre-treatment
Ensure that coffee husks meet the feeding requirements and feed them into the main furnace.
In the BST series, the size of coffee husks ranges from 5-20mm (with an optimal size of 5-8mm), with a moisture content of ≤15%.
02Pyrolysis
Heat the main biochar reactor to 280-600 degrees Celsius to initiate the reaction. During this process, the moisture content of coffee husks gradually decreases as they trafnsform into biomass charcoal, accompanied by the production of some combustible gases. The transformation from coffee husks to charcoal typically takes about 15-25 minutes.
03Residue Discharge
Biomass charcoal is discharged through a water-cooling discharging system. After passing through two water-cooling stages, the temperature of the biomass charcoal can be reduced to below 45 degrees Celsius.
04Combustible Gas Recovery
Combustible gases within the main furnace undergo condensation and cyclone dust removal treatment before being directly used as heating fuel for the furnace.
05Waste Gas Treatment
Waste gases from the main furnace are treated by standard dust removal systems to ensure emissions comply with regulations. Additionally, we offer advanced tail gas dust removal systems and customized dust removal systems to meet European emission standards.
