Resource Utilization | Reduction
Currently, the global plastic production exceeds 400 million tons annually. Plastic pollution is in every aspect of our lives: in the soil, in the water, in the air, and in living beings. It poses significant hazards to the earth and our health.
Soil
Most plastic is landfilled or thrown away. It takes up a lot of landfill space. However, plastic takes hundreds of years to degrade in the soil. This causes soil pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Living Beings
Microplastics have been found in both human and animal bodies. Microplastics and the chemical substances in plastics have a bad influence on the health of living beings.
Water
About 15 million tons of plastic enter the oceans every year. Plastic contains hazardous chemicals. It adversely affects water quality and the survival and reproduction of aquatic flora and fauna.
Air
The production and incineration of plastic generate greenhouse gases and harmful gases. These substances affect air quality. Besides, the microplastic particles lead to air pollution.
How To Recycle Plastic? – Pyrolysis Process
- Deliver plastic of the appropriate size into the main furnace.
- Note: when take BLL-30, the size of plastic should be less than 2cm.
- Waste plastic begins to decompose under high-temperature and micro-oxygen environment. When the temperature exceeds 180 degrees Celsius, trace amounts of oil gas begin to generate. When the temperature is between 280 and 350 degrees Celsius, a substantial amount of oil gas starts to be produced.
- During the pyrolysis process, waxy oil is produced. Both waxy oil and some of the oil gas undergo reactions with the catalyst in the catalytic tower. The transformed waxy oil is then recovered after the condensation process. This catalysis process effectively addresses the issue of pipeline blockages caused by waxy oil.
- A part of oil-gas mixture is condensed into plastic oil. Other non-liquefied syngas is used as a heat resource.
- The solid carbon black is collected after being cooled by a water-cooling discharger.
- Note: when take BLL-30, the size of plastic should be less than 2cm.
- The exhaust meets emission standards after undergoing de-dusting treatment. If processed through a high-end exhaust gas treatment system, the emissions comply with European standards.
Pyrolysis Suitability of Various Plastics
Suitable For Pyrolysis
- High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
- Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
- Polypropylene (PP)
- Polystyrene (PS)
- Other Plastics (Don’t contain chlorine and oxygen)
Not Suitable for Pyrolysis
- Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET)
- Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
- Other Plastics (Contain chlorine and oxygen)
Circular Plastic Recycling Solution – Reduction/Resource Utilization
Beston Group is committed to providing a plastic pyrolysis solution. Our solution transforms these vast quantities of plastics into valuable energy products, such as pyrolysis oil. The pyrolysis oil can then be used for the plastic production once again. This way creates a closed-loop plastic recycling solution. If you have specific requirements, please contact us to customize a solution that meets environmental standards.
Plastic to Pyrolysis Oil
Through pyrolysis, plastic is processed into pyrolysis oil. This oil is an environmentally friendly and renewable clean energy source. Moreover, plastic is more thoroughly recovered through this process.
Pyrolysis Oil for Plastic Production
Pyrolysis oil can substitute for petroleum or natural gas in plastic production. It serves both as a raw material and as a heating fuel. This helps reduce petroleum consumption in plastic manufacturing.
