Metal dryer is an automatic drying solution designed for egg tray production lines. It reduces moisture of freshly molded pulp trays from 60–70% to 10–15%. This gives egg trays optimal structural strength and protection against mold and deformation, ready for storage and shipment. Compared to natural air-drying or brick tunnel kilns, the metal dryer delivers more uniform drying, higher thermal efficiency, and weather-independent continuous production. How Does a Metal Dryer Work? – Full-automatic Drying Process

Step 1: Wet Pulp Tray Loading

Freshly demolded egg trays (~60–70% moisture) are loaded onto a conveyor belt and fed into the drying chamber at a steady speed.

Step 2: Hot Air Circulation & Heating

Circulating fans distribute hot air uniformly throughout the chamber, rapidly evaporating moisture within the egg trays. Zone temperatures range from 80–90°C (lower), 150°C (middle), to 200–210°C (upper).

Step 3: Moisture Removal

With an automatic dehumidification system, water vapor is vented out of the chamber through dedicated exhaust ports.

Step 4: Finished Pulp Tray Discharge

When egg tray moisture falls under 15% and trays meet standard strength specs, they exit the line ready for packaging and storage.
