In the increasingly stringent environmental regulatory landscape of Southeast Asia, how to strike a balance between complying with hazardous waste management regulations and achieving economic benefits? In October 2025, Beston Group and our client in Southeast Asia achieved this. After meticulous preparation and efficient delivery, all 3 BLJ-16 pyrolysis plants have now been successfully put into operation in Southeast Asia.
Challenge: Pressure Under Strict Environmental Regulations
The client is a long-time practitioner in the local waste management industry. However, with the increasing demand for chemical oil sludge and waste plastic treatment, traditional incineration or landfill solutions are facing unprecedented pressure:
Local environmental protection departments have implemented extremely strict exhaust emission standards. They also monitor corporate emissions in real time, 24 hours a day, and transmit the data directly to the government’s backend system. This means that any emission fluctuation exceeding the limits could result in hefty compliance penalties. The client understood they need more than just a machine; they need a closed-loop compliance solution that could withstand continuous environmental scrutiny.

Solution: Addressing Hazardous Waste Pain Points
To address the client’s specific needs for treating chemical sludge and medical plastic waste, the Beston Group engineering team custom-designed the BLJ-16 pyrolysis system.
- ⭐Exhaust Gas Treatment: To meet the most stringent regulations, the system was equipped with top-of-the-line components. The system includes cooling and dust removal, desulfurization and denitrification, electrostatic precipitation, and activated carbon adsorption. This combination ensures that the final exhaust gas emissions are below the emission limits.
- Residue Discharge System: 3 water-cooled screw extractors can cool the residue to a safe temperature in a sealed environment, thereby protecting the operating environment and preventing secondary dust pollution.

Delivery: End-to-End Support & Seamless Handover
From order placement to final acceptance, Beston Group provides full-process service with no gaps. For this multi-unit project, we dispatched a senior engineering team to Southeast Asia, offering both technical support and on-site coordination throughout.
- Phase 1: Installation & Civil Engineering Guidance – Working alongside the client on site layout and infrastructure alignment, then carrying out the mechanical installation of each pyrolysis unit.
- Phase 2: Commissioning & Operational Training – Running systematic performance tests across different operating conditions and providing hands-on training until the client’s team could operate the plant independently.
Throughout the project, our engineers collected real operating data on-site and resolved issues as they arose. We stayed on-site until the client’s team was fully confident running the plant on their own. The project was formally signed off on schedule, with strong positive feedback from the client.

Results: A “Win-win” for Both Economy and Environment
Through the application of chemical oil sludge and medical plastic pyrolysis machines, the previously problematic hazardous waste underwent a complete transformation:
- Energy Output: The extracted pyrolysis oil can not only be used as an energy source for the client’s own industrial park, but the surplus can also be sold externally, generating direct economic benefits.
- Compliance and Waste Reduction: The industrial residue after pyrolysis showed a significant reduction in petroleum hydrocarbon and polymer content, meeting local standards for compliant landfill disposal.
- Cost Avoidance: The client not only received income from hazardous waste treatment fees but also significantly reduced the operating costs of the park through fuel substitution. More importantly, they avoided potential environmental administrative penalties.
