NEW YORK, September 21, 2026 – During Climate Week NYC, Beston Group participated in the Puro.earth CDR Summit, contributing two highlights: a biochar carbon dioxide removal (CDR) project announced by Robinson Carbon using Beston’s pyrolysis technology, and an industry roundtable hosted by Beston Group on scaling biochar CDR.
Robinson Carbon officially announced the launch of the Red River Phase 1 Biochar CDR project, which will use Beston’s BST-50S pyrolysis reactors. The partnership is now moving into execution. It reflects a wider industry shift: Biochar CDR is moving from early proof-of-concept to scalable, commercially viable deployment.
Beston Group also hosted a roundtable, “Scaling Biochar CDR: From Technology to Bankable Projects.” Around 30 industry leaders and experts joined the discussion, including representatives from Exomad Green, Carbonfuture, Cula Technologies, Supercritical, Varaha, Mitsubishi Corporation, Tierra Prieta, Bioflux, Mangrove Systems, and Ground Up.
Participants shared practical experience across the Biochar CDR value chain:
